rentiT REM, which has been operating in live client environments for several years, has received a significant update. The digital operating system for events now also provides a controlled connection option for AI agents, while gaining a new block-based page editor. A PWA has also been completed alongside the existing native event applications, bringing their participant experience to a web environment.
The development brings together three areas that directly support the work of event organisers:
REM's integrated MCP server provides a standardised connection between the system and authorised AI agents. With MCP, or Model Context Protocol, AI can not only answer general questions, but also work with REM's designated event management functions.
AI agents can participate in administration in areas including:
Changes can be reviewed in REM's approval interface, and the administrator can examine the operations performed by the AI agent before they are finalised. Automation can accelerate repetitive administration, while decision-making and control remain with the organiser.
The MCP connection makes REM an AI-ready event platform: the system is prepared to enable the AI agents used by the event team to work with the event's actual data and settings.
As part of the update, REM has received its own visual page editor. The event homepage and related subpages can be assembled from reusable content blocks, allowing the event's online appearance to be adapted to the organiser's requirements and brand identity.
The event microsite editor supports:
Subpages presenting the programme, speakers or other event content can also be built from blocks. This enables the organiser not only to enter data into the system, but also to shape the event's entire online appearance within the same environment.
The third pillar of the development is the full-featured web application (PWA), which enables participants to access an interface and functions similar to the native event applications through a web browser, without downloading the application from an app store.
The three areas of development reinforce the same platform approach. AI agents support event administration, the block-based page editor simplifies the creation of the public event website, and the PWA prepares a new participant access option.
REM manages the event website, registration and ticketing, the participant application, and related on-site services within one integrated system, including event entry, badge printing, visitor tracking, e-posters and signage displays.
During the personalised demonstration, the REM functions related to the given event type and operating model can be explored. The online and on-site processes, the required equipment and infrastructure, and the required integration and operational tasks are discussed.
