The digital operating system for events

rentiT REM is a comprehensive, integrated event platform developed in-house by rentiT. Within one system, it provides an event website, registration, ticket sales, an event app, and solutions for on-site registration and visitor tracking. It was developed primarily for event organisers, agencies, professional associations and corporate teams that organise several events each year and want to manage their event projects on a single platform while also reviewing attendee data. rentiT REM can also be used for a single event.

Each event managed on the rentiT REM platform can operate with its own branding and logic, while saved templates make it possible to create or duplicate frequently used event formats. The activities of returning attendees can be followed across events managed on the platform.

What is rentiT REM?

  • An integrated event platform in which the event website, registration, mobile app, and on-site registration and visitor tracking processes work with shared data in the same system.
  • A distinctive appearance for every event, with custom branding, a dedicated domain, and, where required, a branded mobile app.
  • A shared organiser environment for a single event or an entire event portfolio.
  • Flexible operation: the client can manage the system independently, request support from rentiT, or hand over digital event operations.
  • Hungarian and English interfaces, with additional languages available on request.
  • A predictable commercial model based on a monthly subscription, with no mandatory minimum term and no per-attendee rentiT licence fee.

One platform that evolves with the event

REM makes it possible to manage the tasks associated with every major milestone of an event in a clear and structured way. Depending on the event, this includes a website with a custom design and structure, a registration form, ticket sales, badge printing, a mobile app, on-site access control, visitor tracking, digital signage displays and comprehensive statistical reporting.

The platform ecosystem follows the real dynamics of a live event. If the programme is delayed, for example, the revised times automatically appear on the event website, in the app and on the on-site displays.

The data supplied during pre-registration forms the basis for access control, badge printing, and permissions management. Recorded participation data, in turn, supports networking and the data-driven delivery and evaluation of the event.

The benefits of the platform become even more apparent when several events are managed, including simultaneous events. Branding, forms, and communication templates from previous events can be reused, while each new event can retain its own structure and functions.

An attendee can be connected to several events through the same central profile. This simplifies registration for events managed on the platform and also supports use cases such as multi-event passes. The organiser can review which events a person registered for and, depending on the functions used, which sessions they attended or which exhibition stands they visited.

For event organisers and agencies

An event organiser or agency can manage events with different branding and structures for multiple clients within one integrated organiser environment. Previous configurations can be reused, while rentiT’s professional support services can be requested separately for each event according to its complexity and individual requirements.

For professional associations

Central profiles, registration histories, and passes valid for several events help professional associations track their relationships with returning attendees.

For corporate event teams

REM is an ideal choice for conferences, partner events, family days and internal corporate events.

The collaboration can begin with a single event. If further events follow, they can continue within the same organiser environment.

AI Summit 2025 and 2026: a complete attendee journey in REM

At the 2025 and 2026 AI Summit events, REM connected the key stages of the attendee journey from the moment of ticket purchase.

  • Attendees purchased their tickets in the app or on the event website.
  • On arrival, they used the digital badge available in the event app at self-service check-in kiosks or staffed access control stations.
  • The badge printed on site also served as a food and beverage voucher.
  • Attendees marked favourites, built their personal agendas, and reserved seats for sessions in the app.
  • Appointments with exhibitors could be booked in the app or on touchscreens located at the venue.
  • Attendees submitted questions to speakers through the app’s Q&A function.
  • Transcripts and summaries related to interpreting became available in the app during the event.

In this case, REM did not address a single isolated task. It accompanied attendees through every stage of the event, from ticket purchase and on-site participation through to the content of the presentations.

REM functions before, during, and after the event

The organiser can select the functions required for each event. A smaller event may only need a website and registration, while a large conference can connect the mobile app, access control, exhibitor lead capture, and on-site displays to the same platform.

Event website and registration

The organiser can present the event and accept registrations within the same environment. REM can provide a complete, individually branded event website, while its registration and ticket purchase interfaces can also be embedded into an existing website.

  • Dedicated event website. The programme, speakers, partners, and venue information can be presented through custom menus and pages on a dedicated domain.
  • Editable content. News, images, and videos help the organiser present the event. In addition to Hungarian and English, further language versions can also be created.
  • Flexible registration form. The data required for the event can be collected through a freely configurable registration form.
  • Multiple participation models. Registration can be free, paid, invitation-only, or subject to organiser approval.
  • Individual and group registration. The system manages attendee categories, groups, and accompanying guests.
  • Capacity and waiting lists. For events with limited capacity, reservations and waiting-list functions help optimise attendee numbers.
  • Pre-launch review. The organiser can review the website and its configuration in a separate preview environment before launch.
  • Faster preparation for future events. The website and registration settings of an earlier event can be reused.

Ticket sales, online payment, and invoicing

REM manages the complete purchasing process, from selecting a ticket and additional programmes to payment and QR-code confirmation. Different ticket types, prices, programmes, services, products, and participation conditions can be configured for the purchasing process.

  • Ticket categories. Separate admission types can be created according to attendee group, sales period, or access level.
  • Prices and discounts. Time-based pricing, discount codes, and optional add-ons can be linked to a purchase.
  • Multiple currencies and VAT handling. Payment and invoicing can be adapted to the commercial conditions of the event.
  • Digital tickets. The purchaser receives an automatic confirmation and a ticket that can be used for admission.
  • Multi-event passes. A named pass can be valid for several events or for a specified number of occasions.
  • Cancellation and attendee substitution. The organiser can track changes and manage the related financial transactions in the administration interface.

Online payment can be configured through OTP Simple, CIB, Stripe, or PayPal, while custom integrations are also possible. Invoices are issued through rentiT’s own invoicing engine—with a custom invoice design and NAV Online Invoice reporting—or through a Számlázz.hu integration.

A dedicated event app for iOS and Android

A standalone event app or a portfolio app with custom branding is an integral part of REM. The native application can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play and can also be used as a progressive web app (PWA).

  • Programme and speakers. The app presents multi-day programmes across several parallel rooms, together with speaker profiles and related materials.
  • Personal agenda. Attendees can build their own event programme from the sessions they mark as favourites.
  • Dynamic agenda. REM’s intelligent agenda module follows the event dynamically. If the programme is delayed, the times of subsequent sessions are recalculated and can also be adjusted manually by the organiser. Changes appear immediately on the event website, in the app and on digital signage displays outside the rooms.
  • Seat and appointment booking. The REM networking module allows attendees to reserve seats for presentations and sessions and to request appointments with exhibitors, other attendees, or speakers.
  • Interactive map. The REM interactive map supports navigation and wayfinding at the venue.
  • Questions for speakers. The REM app allows attendees to participate actively through a Q&A module. Submitted questions can be handled through a two-stage moderation interface by the moderator or speaker. Questions can also be displayed publicly, allowing other attendees to vote for the ones they consider most relevant.
  • Surveys and ratings. Attendees can provide feedback on individual presentations or the event as a whole through comprehensive, customisable questionnaires or simple ratings.
  • Attendee list and chat. Attendees can chat with one another in the REM app, while each person decides which profile details are visible to others.
  • Simple sign-in. The app does not require a complicated registration process or another username and password. It can be accessed using an Apple or Google account, or through one-time password authentication with a personal link.
  • Push notifications and communication. Attendees or selected attendee groups can be notified by email, SMS, or push notification, either from the administration interface or through automation linked to a specified event.

Access control, badge printing, and on-site permissions

During the event, REM manages on-site processes and guests according to the information supplied during pre-registration. Guests can enter using the QR-code confirmation email received after registration or codes delivered by SMS. At access control points operated by hostesses or at self-service check-in kiosks, attendees can collect their badges. During the event, these badges can become an integral part of further interactions, including visitor tracking, point collection, voucher redemption, and the measurement of food and beverage consumption.

  • Rapid attendee check-in. To support very fast arrivals, the system provides identification based on name lists, QR codes, barcodes, NFC, RFID or facial recognition. It supports both hostess-operated and self-service check-in solutions.
  • On-site registration. REM’s intuitive organiser interface provides the flexibility required for the smooth handling of on-site registration tasks, issue resolution and ad hoc registrations at the venue.
  • Badge printing. The system can print a wide range of badge formats and also manages rentiT’s internally developed digital badges. Badges can be used to control attendee movement while also supporting numerous forms of interaction.
  • QR, NFC, and RFID identification. REM supports several attendee identification technologies, including barcodes, QR codes, NFC, RFID, number plate recognition, and facial recognition. Identification methods can also be combined.
  • Access points and zones. The organiser can manage several gates, permission-controlled areas, session access, and exit and re-entry rules, and can freely define the event’s access control and permission logic.
  • Seating management. The system places particular emphasis on seating requirements. A comprehensive guest-seating module allows protocol-compliant seating plans to be designed in an easily understandable visual format. Digital or printed seating cards and interactive kiosks with map displays help guests find their assigned places.
  • Vouchers and on-site entitlements. REM can track the redemption of food, gift, parking, and other vouchers.
  • Connected equipment. REM provides a wide range of options for complex, experience-focused access control solutions. It can be integrated with regiPod, turnstiles and access control gates, and can control welcome displays and other entertaining welcome technologies.

During the event, the organiser can see how many people have arrived, who they are and, based on the checkpoints in use, how attendance is developing across sessions. If the internet connection is interrupted, access control can continue in offline mode. The necessary equipment and on-site staff are provided under a separate quotation tailored to the complexity of the event.

Exhibitor lead capture and rapid follow-up

REM’s visitor tracking and lead capture module supports data-driven event organisation and delivery through a range of advanced solutions. Exhibitors can prepare their customised interfaces before the event, then record and qualify visitors and their areas of interest at the stand quickly and easily. Every transfer of data is linked to a deliberate action by the attendee.

  • Customisable exhibitor interface. Exhibitors can upload their company profiles, team members and professional materials for sharing with interested visitors during a conversation at the stand.
  • Deliberate data sharing. A contact or lead is transferred to the exhibitor only after deliberate identification initiated by the visitor. If required, the attendee can confirm consent to the data transfer with a signature.
  • Efficient qualification. Preconfigured quick-action buttons record frequently used topics and areas of interest with a single tap, allowing the exhibitor to focus on the conversation rather than data entry.
  • Immediate content delivery. The exhibitor can immediately email content related to the selected topic to the visitor.
  • Recognition of previous interactions. When an interested visitor returns, the exhibitor can see the previously recorded contact and lead information.
  • Separate lead list and export. Each exhibitor can evaluate and export the data collected through their own interface. The attendee data made available to the exhibitor can be defined in advance.

Reports that help evaluate the event

REM supports data-driven event management. Organisers can follow key processes while the event is running and create reports from the same data after the event, providing a factual basis for planning the next one.

  • Registration and ticket sales. Applications, ticket sales, and attendance statuses can be reviewed.
  • On-site attendance. Arrivals, session access, and programme attendance can be tracked.
  • Exhibitor activity. Authorised users can evaluate stand visits and recorded contacts.
  • Attendee feedback. Survey and presentation-rating results can be reviewed separately.
  • Communication. Opening and click-through data are available for emails sent from the system.
  • Export. Event-level reports can be generated in Excel, CSV, or PDF format and, where required, as anonymised summaries.

Operated by the client’s team or managed by rentiT

REM supports several operating models. The organiser can use the system independently, request support for defined tasks, or assign the complete digital operation of the event to rentiT.

  • Independent use. Client teams are supported by onboarding training, contextual in-system help, a searchable knowledge base, and product support.
  • Supported use. The organiser handles day-to-day tasks, while rentiT assists with agreed configuration, content, or technical work.
  • Managed operation. rentiT takes over the contracted tasks, from preparing the event website and registration through communication and access control to the production of reports, providing comprehensive technological and operational support.

The selected operating model can vary from one event to another. A smaller event can be managed by the client’s own team, while full rentiT operation can be requested for a major event.

Predictable fees without hidden costs or attendance-based commission

REM is available with a one-time customisation fee and either a monthly subscription or an event-based licence fee, with no mandatory minimum term. rentiT does not charge a per-attendee licence fee or attendee commission. The monthly fee is determined by the number of administrators, the number of events managed and the individual solutions required. Every client therefore receives a customised quotation.

The subscription includes all generally available REM functions. The creation and app store publication of a branded application, together with one year of availability in the stores, are also included.

In-house development and event technology expertise

REM is developed and supported in-house by rentiT, an event technology provider. Software development and event technology expertise are therefore available from one partner: the platform can be complemented by physical access control equipment, comprehensive technical operation and custom development.

Client onboarding begins with a review of the client’s event portfolio. rentiT then completes the necessary configuration and customises the system. Following training, rentiT customer service supports smooth day-to-day use through continuous technical assistance.

Support requests can be submitted directly from the administration interface. Assistance is also available by email, chat, and telephone, while event-day or on-site support can be requested separately.

If an event requires a function or system connection that is not yet part of REM, rentiT develops it under a separate agreement. A recurring monthly development capacity can also be requested for ongoing requirements, with an agreed level of availability.

Connecting REM to existing systems

REM can be connected to the organiser’s other business systems. Third-party ticketing and registration systems can also be integrated.

On-site access control is delivered by the rentiT EES access control and badge-printing system, which can also operate as a separate module independently of REM. EES is compatible with rentiT’s specialist on-site solutions, including regiPod, self-service check-in kiosks, and mobile turnstiles.

For hybrid or online events, REM can be complemented by rentiT’s own streaming and meeting services. A separately available rentiT interpreting platform can support presentation translation and transcription.

For structured business meetings, the RRR – rentiT Rapid Rendezvous matchmaking and meeting scheduling solution is available under a separate licence. Partner recommendations, bookable time slots, and defined meeting locations help attendees build relevant connections.

Data processing and security

rentiT REM is hosted on servers located in Hungary, with all data stored within the European Union. REM can also run on the client’s own servers.

Roles determine which data and functions each user can access. Two-factor authentication and administrator activity logs strengthen access control. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and passwords are stored in encrypted form.

Regular backups, a tested restoration process, and continuous monitoring ensure operational reliability.

Attendee data can be exported or transferred to another business system through an agreed system connection. Data retention, anonymisation, and deletion conditions are defined in the relevant service and data-processing agreements.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

  • Can REM be used for a single event?
    • Yes. REM can be used for a standalone event with no mandatory minimum term or long-term commitment. If additional events follow, they can continue within the same organiser environment.

  • Is a separate mobile app created for every event?
    • Not necessarily. A dedicated native app can be created for one event, while a shared app can also bring together the organiser’s complete event portfolio. REM’s browser-based attendee interface can be used without downloading an app, and the event app is also available as a standalone service without the complete REM platform.

  • Can the existing event website be retained?
    • Yes. REM’s registration and ticket purchase interfaces can be embedded into a website created by another provider.

  • How quickly can an event be launched?
    • Under ideal conditions, a standard REM event can be prepared in as little as one or two days. A dedicated native app generally requires approximately ten days, while a custom integration or deployment on the client’s server typically requires three to four weeks. Timing also depends on the delivery of materials, client-side approvals, and app-store review processes.

  • Does updating the programme require a new app-store approval?
    • No. Programme updates and other changes to event content do not require a new app-store approval. A new release is only required if the application’s operating logic or functionality changes.

  • What happens if the internet connection is interrupted at the venue?
    • Access control can continue in offline backup mode, and the data can be synchronised later. Network requirements vary for other functions. Exhibitor lead capture requires an internet connection; the data capture devices provided by rentiT include a mobile data connection.

  • Are on-site equipment and personnel included in the subscription?
    • No. rentiT provides a separate, customised quotation based on the venue and the event requirements. The configuration is influenced by factors such as the number of access points, the badge-printing method, and the visitor-tracking logic. Under a long-term agreement, rentiT can support predictable budgeting through agreed fixed pricing.

  • Can attendee histories from several events be reviewed?
    • Yes. The subscriber can manage attendee activities across the events within its own event portfolio.
