The regiPod is an ultracompact, wireless, rentable on-site check-in station within the rentiT Event Registration Ecosystem. It runs on the current version of EES – Event Entry System and supports hostess-assisted and self-service event registration, guest identification, access-rights management, and on-site badge and wristband printing.
The regiPod operates as a hostess-assisted check-in station or as a self-service check-in kiosk, using the same physical endpoint.
regiPod rental is available in a configuration prepared for the specific event. The compact stations can be deployed quickly, repositioned easily, and operate without a fixed on-site data or power cable connection. The service scope ranges from preconfigured equipment handover to full on-site technical operation.
Ultracompact design · Wireless operation · Hostess-assisted or self check-in · Badge and wristband printing
The regiPod is an ultracompact event registration station that brings the key functions required for on-site check-in, guest identification, and badge or wristband issuance into one clean physical endpoint.
Its wireless design allows the registration point to be positioned primarily around the guest journey and arrival flow rather than around available venue data or power outlets.
The regiPod can be placed on a counter, reception desk, hostess desk, or other compact guest reception point. The same station supports both hostess-assisted and self-service check-in configurations.
As part of the rentiT Event Registration Ecosystem, the regiPod operates not as an isolated rental device, but as one physical endpoint within a complete on-site event registration environment.
Ultracompact, wireless design
The regiPod is a compact check-in station that is easy to position and quick to relocate when required.
During operation, it does not require a fixed on-site data or power cable connection. With mobile data connectivity, it does not depend on the venue's Wi-Fi network.
This is particularly valuable for conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, temporary venues, and additional check-in points.
Hostess-assisted or self-service check-in
The regiPod operates both as a hostess-assisted event registration station and as a self-service check-in point.
Its operating mode is configured around the guest arrival concept of the specific event, allowing the same device to serve different event formats and on-site roles.
Multiple guest identification methods
Guests can be searched by name or another event-specific configured data field, and can also be identified using a QR code or barcode.
For hostess-assisted check-in, an optional finger-worn QR and barcode scanner is available. Its practical benefit is that it allows the hostess to keep her hand free for guest reception and other on-site tasks.
NFC- and RFID-based identification is available with a separate reader unit.
On-site badge and wristband printing
The regiPod can be configured for on-site badge and wristband printing.
For print-shop-prepared badges, the guest's personal details are added on site. In another configuration, the complete badge or wristband is produced during the on-site registration process.
Guest identification, check-in, and physical credential issuance therefore operate within the same event registration environment.
Configurable for each event
The regiPod is fully customisable and configurable according to the registration and check-in requirements of each event.
Displayed data fields, guest information, identification methods, access rights, check-in functions, and badge-issuance tasks are configured to the requirements of the specific event.
Access-rights management
The regiPod also manages the access rights assigned to the role of the specific check-in point.
The system can be used, for example, for:
Guest data can be imported from a prepared data file or, following the appropriate integration, can arrive from another event, registration, or client-side system.
Pre-registration does not need to take place within a rentiT system. When EES manages the on-site access identifiers for the project, the system generates and sends individual QR codes to participants, which regiPod uses for identification upon arrival at the venue.
New guests can also be registered on site, with the required data fields configured for the specific event. Existing guest details can be amended by users with the appropriate operator permissions.
Adaptable to the event brand
The event registration point is one of the first physical touchpoints in the guest journey, making its visual appearance an important part of the overall event experience.
The external appearance of the regiPod can be adapted to the event identity with a custom magnetic branding decal.
The LED lighting provides both decorative and functional feedback. In a functional configuration, it indicates the station status or the result of an access-rights check.
The ultracompact design also allows the regiPod to be placed on a TFLEX illuminated hostess desk, creating a compact, consistent and visually refined guest reception point.
Recommended applications
regiPod rental is particularly suitable for:
regiPod rental is available through a flexible, project-based service model.
The service scope is configured for the specific event, from the handover of prepared and configured stations through to full on-site technical operation.
Prepared regiPod rental
For simpler events, rentiT provides prepared and configured regiPod stations that are operated by the client or the event's hostess team.
Under the Badge Printing as a Service model, on-site badge printing operates without the continuous presence of a rentiT technician.
On-site technical support
For more complex events, a rentiT technician provides on-site technical support for the system.
This service model is particularly appropriate for multiple check-in stations, more complex system integrations, or specialised access-control requirements.
Full on-site operation
Depending on the project configuration, the full service covers the equipment, the EES software environment, the required printing consumables, data-preparation tasks, logistics, and on-site technical operation.
Available quantity
The number of units available for rental depends on current stock and concurrent project bookings.
Preparation
The regiPod is prepared with an EES environment configured for the specific event, including the required identification and printing settings.
Delivery and logistics
rentiT provides delivery to and collection from the venue according to the selected project service configuration.
On-site support
Rental is available with client-side operation, on-site rentiT technical support, or full on-site operation.
Environmental conditions
For outdoor use or demanding environmental conditions, the technical suitability of the selected configuration must be verified separately before deployment.
Part of the rentiT Event Registration Ecosystem
The regiPod is one of the rentable on-site physical endpoints within the rentiT Event Registration Ecosystem.
Its software foundation is the current version of EES – Event Entry System. EES manages guest data, identification, on-site check-in status, access rights, and functions related to badge issuance.
The regiPod therefore operates not as an isolated badge printer or standalone check-in device, but as part of rentiT's integrated event registration ecosystem.
Ultracompact event check-in and on-site badge printing
The regiPod is the primary physical endpoint of this rentiT SOLUTION. The solution page presents the complete on-site registration environment, the role of EES, and the relationship with other elements of the rentiT Event Registration Ecosystem.
Self Check-in kiosk
For larger, fixed self-service guest reception points, the floor-standing Self Check-in kiosk provides an alternative endpoint.
Turnstile event access control
For events requiring physical access restriction, EES also works with turnstile-based event access control.
EES – Event Entry System
EES is the mandatory software foundation of the regiPod. Guest data, identification, check-in status, access-rights management, badge issuance, and related system integrations operate within the same software environment.
TFLEX illuminated hostess desk
The ultracompact regiPod can be placed on a TFLEX illuminated hostess desk. Used together, the two devices create a compact, consistent guest reception point that can be adapted to the event brand.
When on-site badge or wristband printing is not required and the hostess needs to move continuously around the venue, smartphone- or tablet-based check-in provides a simpler solution.
For a larger, fixed self-service guest reception point, the floor-standing Self Check-in kiosk is a better fit.
For events requiring physical access restriction, turnstile event access control provides the physical access-control layer.
The primary role of the regiPod is as an ultracompact, wireless on-site check-in and badge or wristband issuance endpoint.
regiPod rental includes stations prepared and configured for the specific event, together with the EES – Event Entry System software environment.
