Introducing regiPod – an ultracompact event check-in and badge-printing kiosk

regiPod is the new on-site endpoint in the rentiT Event Registration Ecosystem, an ultracompact, wireless event check-in and badge-printing kiosk. The same physical endpoint operates either as a hostess-assisted check-in station or as a self-service kiosk, making it suitable for managing guest arrivals at conferences, corporate events, exhibitions and other events.

regiPod runs on the current version of EES – Event Entry System software. Guest identification, on-site check-in, access rights management, and badge or wristband issuance are therefore handled within a unified event registration environment.

The ultracompact design allows the location of each check-in point to be determined primarily by the guest journey and arrival flow. regiPod fits into compact spaces, can be relocated easily and requires no fixed on-site data or power cable connection during operation. Its mobile data connectivity also removes the need to rely on the event venue’s Wi-Fi network.

regiPod can be configured for a range of on-site registration tasks:

hostess-assisted or self-service check-in;
guest identification by name, QR code or barcode;
NFC- and RFID-based identification with a separate reader unit;
on-site personalisation of pre-printed badges;
complete on-site badge production;
on-site wristband printing;
event-, access-point- or area-specific access rights management;
external branding tailored to the visual identity of the event.

The system does not require online pre-registration to take place in a rentiT system. With the appropriate integration, guest data can also be transferred to EES from other event, registration or client systems, enabling regiPod to serve as the on-site endpoint for existing digital event workflows.

Rental equipment and a complete event registration solution

regiPod is available both as rental event technology equipment and as part of a complete ultracompact on-site check-in and badge-printing solution.

For less complex events, rentiT provides prepared and configured regiPod stations that can be operated by the client or the event’s hostess team. Alongside the Badge Printing as a Service model, on-site technical support or full rentiT operation is available for more complex projects.

regiPod is not designed as a standalone badge printer. As part of EES – Event Entry System and the rentiT Event Registration Ecosystem, it operates within a shared system alongside other check-in endpoints, self-service kiosks, mobile devices, event applications and access control solutions.
